We were thrilled to hear that our social innovate project, Inspire Mentoring www.inspirementoring.ie was nominated for the Digital Education award by the team in Digital Town.
Inspire mentoring launched as a pilot in Ballymun town in 2020 and supports young marginalised youth access education and manage the transition from education to employment.
It is a is a formal online mentoring programme aimed at young, marginalised people who lack social capital, professional connections and role models. Using a digital platform, the young person receives weekly one-to-one mentoring to help them reach their full potential, build self-confidence and achieve their career ambitions. The scalable platform features include video calls, a variety of tools to support the mentors, post meeting notes and auto alerts. Talent is everywhere but opportunity is not – the Inspire mentoring programme is a catalyst for positive change.
We are looking forward to the Gala Prizegiving Lunch on the 24th May. A wonderful chance to celebrate all our hard work and the role Ballymun town played in our efforts and achievements in being named a finalist.
